5 Tips for Effective Online Learning

COVID-19 or say the global pandemic ensured its existence in the country since March 2020. With the increase in the spread of the virus all over the world , we students were surely bound to take online classes in order to prevent ourselves and our families from getting affected with the disease. But indeed online learning did not start with the pandemic, as with the advancement in technology many people were already learning online with the help of various platforms like YouTube, Coursera, Unacademy, Byju’s etc.
Many of us think that online learning or online classes are one of the biggest con or disadvantages that we have to face in our studies, but I think that we can be a little optimistic in our lives and make the best out of online learning and can learn more efficiently.
Here are the best five tips for effective online learning
LIVE CLASS V/S RECORDED CLASS
In my opinion , we must prefer live classes instead of recorded classes as we are able to interact more at live sessions as compared to recorded sessions . Recorded classes generally create disinterest in the particular subject and in accord with my personal experience, it generally leads to drowsiness while live classes enhance our problem solving skills along with time management.
MAINTAINING REGULARITY
In order to learn online effectively, we need to maintain regularity in all the subjects. It is very important, for example we have to study regularly covering all the topics within a particular short period of time as being taught in the classes.
This will always help us to be at ease especially at the time of examinations.
MAINTAINING A TIME TABLE
We have to prepare a time table which will help us to manage our precious time to different activities which include both online learning and offline tasks or leisure activities. Online learning can be related to both studies and extra developmental activities like programming, graphic designing, online competitions, content writing etc. So the key to learning these things efficiently is to distribute our time accordingly and not equally.
The first principle is that you must not fool yourself and you are the easiest person to fool.
ATTEMPT MOCK TESTS AND EXAMS REGULARLY
In order to learn effectively , we must attempt the mock tests and exams regularly even if they are online and being held in the absence of an invigilator. You must attempt them after proper learning by acting as an invigilator for yourself and take it as a test for your own learning.
AVOID CHEATING IN ONLINE EXAMS
Kindly try to avoid cheating in your online exams as if you are not able to test your own learning , you will never be able to learn efficiently. Cheating will never awaken your self confidence and you will never come to know how much you have learnt properly and how much not.
So just help yourself to learn efficiently both offline and online!!
