Through sports, there is a good balance of physical and mental growth and one can live a happy lifestyle. Sports affect mentality directly in such a way, that one start avoiding all kind of unhealthy food and activities

Sports help develop values of mutual trust and cooperation. Sports not only contribute to physical health but also enhance social engagement. A man active in sports will naturally have greater self-esteem, improved social interaction, and a more positive outlook on life. Sports activities help to develop ethics, values, responsibilities (ability to understand the responsibility and wear that perfectly), discipline, a sense of confidence, and mutual trust. And to live in this society we have to know the concept of trust, like whom we can trust, whom we can’t, when we should do or don’t, all of this is a game of mentality and it can be developed by being involved in sports activities.
While playing and practicing, you generally spent a very good portion of time with your teammates. And this spent time will give you some of the very good memories. Playing games creates friendships and memories that will last your lifetime. After spending this much amount of time with your team friends, they know very much about you, like how to make you laugh and how to turn your bad day into a great memory. And very often it has been seen that for a player, small moments with his friends while practicing is more valuable than going to a party on weekend.
3. Time Management
To make your gameplay better, you have to practice a lot, and this will consume a lot of time. A significant portion of time from your schedule will go into the practice, which will teach you to manage time for other pieces of stuff.
Sports play a very important role in teaching time management skills. After being a part of sports, you will definitely learn the skills of time management and discipline.
4. Personality Development
Sports develop a lot of skills like
skill to handle pressure,
skill to take instant decisions,
skill to take complete responsibility of his/her decision,
thinking abilities,
always thinking a new approach and way,
skill to control mind (thoughts) and actions,
Overall sport helps to enhance the character.
Sports don’t build character, they reveal it.
5. Changing Attitude
The feeling of sportsmanship or sporting spirit, which develops in the sporting arena, teaches students to accept failure and to respect others. The feeling also helps in developing a calm and positive outlook, and it increases stamina by strengthening bones and muscles.
Being indulged in sports activities, you can directly see a positive effect on your attitude, that you do only those types of things which directly improve his/her performance, only eat those things which helps him/her to stay fit, overall he/she do things which directly or indirectly gets a performance improvement.
6. National Development
Sports are a country’s brand. Different countries have been known for particular sports like for instance the Republic of India is known for cricket, Brazil for football, and Kenya for athletics. Sports are in this way a special kind of signature and this helps in the preservation of the culture of that country.
Sports spread a positive feeling of unity and pride, in short, sports give a reason to all the citizens of a nation to unite, celebrate and feel proud to live in that nation. Sports become mediocre to develop mutual love, respect, and peacefulness in all the citizens.
As we know that sports are directly related to health, we can say that sports also help to build a good health status for the citizens of a country.
Sports indirectly and directly help a nation to develop financial benefits. Sports encourage the growth of sports-related industries, which brings employment opportunities and boosts the economy.
